About me:

ACTOR / COMEDIAN / WRITER / AWESOME Yamil Piedra was born in Havana, Cuba and arrived in Miami in 1980 by way of the famous Mariel boatlift. A graduate of Florida International University with a BA in Theatre, he's appeared on Last Comic Standing, Comic View, Las Vegas, Boston Legal, & Burn Notice. Yamil has also taken part in several stand up comedy showcases including Comedy Central’s Open Mic Fight, NBC's Stand Up for Diversity, and a Just for Laughs Showcase. In 2007, he was featured in Ocean Drive Espańol Magazine’s "En Caliente" (What’s Hot) section. Yamil is one of the stars of the Spanish language sketch comedy show on MegaTV El Vacilon. Yamil is also one half of the comedy duo A Pair of Nuts with his buddy Johnny Trabanco, who have been featured on Tosh.0, VH1's Money Hungry, Last Call with Carson Daly, MegaTV, Discover Channel, and all over the internet. He’s been featured on NBC's Stand Up for Diversity, Comedy Central’s Open Mic Fight, NBC’s Last Comic Standing, BET Comic View, NBC’s Las Vegas, ABC’s Boston Legal, and the critically ashamed American Idol film From Justin to Kelly, but don’t tell anyone. Please. Yamil is 1 half of the nationally touring, award winning sketch comedy duo A Pair of Nuts. He is also currently starring and writing for the upcoming international Spanish sketch comedy show "El Vacilon," coming in Sept 2009. Here’s some completely irrelevant information... Yamil lost 95 lbs and is incredibly flexible for his size.
